WSP 100

The WSP 100 is a portable Multi-Wavelength Selective Power Meter. This new instrument has been designed for installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Long-Haul and Metro loop applications.

With the supplied PC executable software, the WSP 100 can operate in either Local or Remote mode. The WSP 100 automatically analyzes each channel and measures the center wavelength/frequency, power level, and optical signal to noise ratio (OSNR). The test results are displayed in either tabular or graph format.

The WSP 100 identifies and "flags" channels by user selected Thresholds for quick and easy Pass/Fail Testing. The "flagged" thresholds include optical signal to noise ratio and absolute channel power level. On a fiber or link level, a maximum gain tilt level may be specified as a value to "be flagged" if exceeded.

At the completion of the test, the results of up to 40 tests can be saved to internal memory. With the supplied PC executable software, test results

Switching the WSP 100 to OPM mode allows the instrument to perform standard power meter functions. The instrument may be used to take the insertion loss and optical power measurements can be downloaded to a PC for storage, analyzing, and printing.
