BI Communicatons
BI Communications was established in 1982 as a reseller of cables and connectors to the data communication and other general industries. In 1985 BI Communications moved to their existing premises in Basildon, Essex and expanded the operation to include the manufacture of Custom Cable Assemblies, TAD Thinwire Ports & Systems, and Wallplates for data connectors. 1990 & 1991 saw bumper sales for BI Communications as Thin Ethernet boomed within the industry as a standard for datacom wiring. Over the next few years BI Communications developed their own in house test equipment for checking cable assemblies and wiring looms, and measuring cable length on drums during inventory management.
